Counseling

 
 
If you are looking for counseling to help you work through your struggles, contact Kelly's Grief Center. We provide individual counseling of all types, not just grief.  

Kelly's Grief Center is located in downtown Kent in Acorn Alley II, 135 East Erie Street, Suite 302. 

You can call 330.593.5959 to schedule an appointment (please leave a message your call will be returned within 48 hours), or go to http://www.kellysgriefcenter.org and look for the Counseling Registration button to fill out a form for either individual or group counseling. 

Phyllis Vair, LPC earned her degree from Kent State University.  She gained experience in grief counseling from Cornerstone of Hope in Independence.
 

 
Beginning the week of April 24, 2017 the following groups will be offered:
Time:                     6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Dinner:                6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Mondays:             Spouse Loss Group
Tuesdays:            Accidental Overdose Group
Wednesdays:     Suicide Loss Group

Groups related to grief run four times a year on various losses.  Groups available when a minimum of three (3) participants and a maximum of ten (10) participants register are:

·                          Accidental Overdose (10 weeks)

o   For those who have lost a loved one to an Accidental Overdose.

·                           Murder Loss (10 weeks)

o   For those who have lost a loved one to Murder.

·                           Suicide Loss (10 weeks)

o   For those who have lost a loved one to Suicide.

·                           Child Loss (8 weeks)

o   For those who have lost a child between ages 2-18.

·                           Children’s Group (8 weeks)

o   For children (ages 6-18) who lost a parent or a close family member.

·                           General Loss (8 weeks)

o   For grieving adults for various losses (may break down to specific groups).

·                           Parent Loss (8 weeks)

o   For those 18 years or older who have lost a parent (may combine to General Loss group).

·                           Perinatal/Infant Loss (8 weeks)

o   For grieving adults who have had a miscarriage or have lost a child under the age of 2.

·                           Spouse Loss (8 weeks)

o   For those who have lost a spouse (may combine into a General Loss group).

·                           Young Adult Loss (8 weeks)

o   For grieving adults ages 18-31 years old
